Shawn Shafner is a multidisciplinary artist, educator, advocate and founder of The People's Own Organic Power Project. He fermented his first jar of pickles almost 15 years ago after picking up a copy of Sandor Katz' book "Wild Fermentation," and has since shared the art, craft and gut health benefits in countless workshops, community centers and potluck dinners. Pickling farm-fresh food is one way Shawn facilitates a fiercely loving relationship with our bodies, planet, and global neighbors, in addition to practicing devised ritual theatre, community-based art and education projects, and offering creative wellness coaching.
