USBG Production Facility Open House (On-site Special Event)

Rarely does the public get to see the Garden's growing facility – 85,000 square feet under glass divided into 34 greenhouse bays and 17 environmental zones. Come see the facility and the many thousands of plants we grow there! You'll see USBG collection plants not currently on display, including orchids, medicinal plants, carnivorous plants, rare and endangered species, and more. Register for one of the open house times to meet our gardeners, ask questions, and wander through this working wonderland of plants.

Please note: Tickets for the event are free, allow entry anytime between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and do not include parking. If you require parking for the event, choose the parking add-on during registration and select from the available parking entry times. Due to limited parking capacity, those without a parking pass will not be able to park.  There is a $25 charge for parking. Only the driver of a vehicle needs a parking add-on. If you do not require parking, you should anticipate arriving via public transit, bicycle, rideshare, or on foot.

This program is offered in collaboration with the Friends of the U.S. Botanic Garden. If you're interested in supporting educational programs through a donation to the Friends of the U.S. Botanic Garden, click here.
