Ashley Kim was first introduced to the world of insects in a Zoology course at her local community college, where she was tasked with creating an insect collection and fell in love with the beautiful biodiversity. She is finishing up her doctorate in Biological Sciences at UC San Diego and picked this program to continue her research interests in behavioral ecology. A fun fact about Ashley is that she developed a severe allergy to bee stings during graduate training but says it’s still worth it!
