William graduated from Virginia Tech in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Resources Management. He came into his undergraduate program as a computer science major, but after taking an ecology class as an elective he knew there was no going back! During his undergraduate studies, he was an urban forestry intern, and after graduation, William worked as a plant diagnostic intern at Bartlett Tree Experts. He found the ways that trees and forests responded to new threats to be fascinating and decided to come back to graduate school to learn more.
