USBG Production Facility Open House (On-site Special Program)
This program is currently full. You can join the waitlist below.
Rarely does the public get to see the Garden's growing facility – 85,000 square feet under glass divided into 34 greenhouse bays and 17 environmental zones. Come see the facility and the many thousands of plants we grow there! In addition to foliage and nursery crops, you'll see USBG collection plants not currently on display, including orchids, medicinal plants, carnivorous plants, and rare and endangered species. Register for one of the open house times to meet the gardeners, ask questions, and wander through this working wonderland of plants. Please note: Doors open 15 minutes prior to each entry time. Sustainable travelers (arriving via public transit, bicycle, or on foot – any form not requiring a parking spot) can enter anytime between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The Open House ends at 2:30 p.m. Due to limited parking capacity, those without a parking pass will not be able park. This program is offered in collaboration with the Friends of the U.S. Botanic Garden.
